U.S. 1 Poets Invite: Evie Shockley, Paul Muldoon and Philip Holmes

The library will be closed today. The Community Room will open in the evening for the U.S. 1 Poets Invite program.

shockleyShockley is the author of the poetry collection “a half-red sea” and two chapbooks, “31 words* prose poems” and “The Gorgon Goddess.” Her work has appeared in many journals and is forthcoming in “Black Nature: Four Centuries of African American Nature Poetry.” She teaches African American literature and creative writing at Rutgers University.
 
muldoonMuldoon, a Pulitzer Prize-winner, is Howard G.B. Clark ’21 Professor at Princeton University and founding chair of the Lewis Center for the Arts. His most recent book of verse is “Horse Latitudes.”
 
Holmes, a professor of mechanics and applied mathematics at Princeton University, has published four collections of poetry, including “The Green Road” (a Poetry Book Society recommendation) and “Lighting the Steps.”
